High power DVB-T transmitter and radio transmitter
It is located on the Stebnícka Magurahill, which is part of the Low Beskids range. A tourist trail leads from the Bardejov Spas to the transmitter itself, the journey takes about 2 hours.
The broadcasting is provided by a 81 m high steel lattice tower, completed in 1975. TV broadcast was launched in 1975. In 1996 the broadcast of the first program was switched from the 4th to the 40th TV channel and the output power was increased to 100kW.
Digital broadcasting began with the launch of the transition multiplex on December 22, 2009, with the analogue broadcasting definitively terminated in 2011 and replaced by DVB-T.
Due to its ideal location, the transmitter provides space for placement of mobile operator technology, government, or local Internet operators.
