Interesting facts

Makovica Hill is part of the Slánske Hills and is an important tourist intersection in eastern Slovakia. It is a convenient dimension to cover a variety of mobile and communications services to a large part of Eastern Slovakia up to the Ukraine border.

The first reinforced concrete tower was built in the early 1960s as part of the first major radio-relay route Bratislava – Košice.

From the Makovica transmitter, the highest building on Slovakia – Dubník transmitter –can be easily observed.
