Krížava is a peak on the main ridge of Lučanská Malá Fatra. Operation of the Krížava tower was launched in 1970, when it became the first transmitter in Czechoslovakia to broadcast a television signal in color. This center has transmitters installed which are one of the most powerful in Slovakia.
The mast of the center is very similar to the mast on Kráľová Hola, but it is slightly lower, with a height of 108m. (Kráľova Hoľa is 135m high)
